Pastoral Staff

Jon Adkins has been faithfully serving Family Tabernacle Church of God since August of 2015 as Lead Pastor.  He is a Licensed Ordained Bishop, credentialed with the Church of God International, headquartered in Cleveland, TN.

 With over two decades of experience in various ministerial roles, Pastor Jon's commitment to his faith and community is evident. Beyond his pastoral duties, he is engaged full-time in the social services sector and contributes his expertise to several community and state boards. Of all his roles, he cherishes most his title of "father" to his children: Elijah, Sophia, and Stella. 

Pastor Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ministry Leadership from Lee University and nearly a Master's Degree from Northern Kentucky University with an emphasis n Public Administration.

 Amy Nitschke-Adkins is a multifaceted leader, serving as the First Lady of Family Tabernacle Church of God. Her role within the church is not simply ceremonial; it is driven by a heartfelt passion to empower women and young girls to recognize and embrace their true potential through the teachings of Jesus Christ. 

Beyond her role as the First Lady, Amy is a nationally certified Sign-Language Interpreter. Her skills in sign language enable her to connect with and support the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, further broadening her impact.

Additionally, Amy serves as a College Instructor, where she utilizes her educational background to inspire and educate students. Her academic achievements include a bachelor's degree in Communications from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master's degree in Education from the University of the Cumberlands. These qualifications underscore her dedication to lifelong learning and education.

 Among her many roles, Amy considers her role as a mother to be the most important. She is a devoted parent to her three children: Elijah, Sophia, and Stella. Balancing her professional and personal life, Amy exemplifies the strength and dedication required to nurture and guide her family while fulfilling her commitments to the community.
